Going Beyond Class C CDL

Some of you may be satisfied with a Class C CDL, but that’s no way to go about life. Why not get a higher class of commercial driver’s license? You never know when job opportunities that pay better will come up, so it pays to be prepared.

The hardest part is getting some experience with the larger Class A and Class B vehicles. Once you find someone who will lend you such a vehicle, you can get a CDLI – an instruction permit – so you can practice with these larger vehicles. When you’re ready, go for the higher class CDLs.

Even if you have no immediate need to get a CDL higher than Class C, you should aim for Class A, or Class B at least.
