Secret Information Isn’t So Secret

One wonderful benefit of the internet is that secret information isn’t so secret anymore. Not only can you look up the details of people’s lives – which is not such a good thing – but you can also now find all the data and research that used to be hidden away. Now you can find, for example, that despite the fact that we keep damaging arteries with balloon angioplasty, there is no evidence that it prolongs life. We can also easily find out what the government is spending our tax dollars for – something they would often prefer to keep secret if they could. Examples abound, and secrets are not so secret now.
